LIGHTING UP THE SKY MUSIC VIDEO FEAT. KISAKYE CREAM DANCERS UGANDA

I feel grateful and honored to have featured the girls of Kisakye Cream Dancers Uganda and sharing their story with the intention to raise funds for their school and dance space.

The Kisakye Cream Dancers have been training under their dance teachers direction "Mr. Smile" (Ssengedo Henry) and range in age from 2-15 years old. Not only do they love to dance because "it makes them happy, allows them to make new friends, it's their talent and makes them feel confident, " but it impacts their lives positively by giving them a voice. Dancing ignites their potential to change people's lives and to build a brighter future.

Additional guidance they receive from "Mami Valongo" (Nakagezi Valongo), who is a mother figure and educator. She has been witnessing their daily challenges which range from disruptions in their education to malnourishment, from the seductive influence of 'bad groups' to inhospitable and unsanitary living conditions. As the government has suspended school indefinitely during this pandemic, their dance training has provided them with some invaluable structure and inspiration.

Last year, Sania Nakayiza posted a video of the children dancing in the rain in Kitintale (Kampala, Uganda), and I was mesmerized by their joy and energy. I reached out to ask if I could honor them somehow, and Sanja encouraged me to help the children by sharing their story on social media.

Legion is a call to action to remember who we are and tap into our truth. It’s about realizing that we have the power for change inside of us and that we need to believe in ourselves, but also to reclaim our spiritual power.

It’s often when we have no choice but to be strong, that we discover our own strength.

The song is written to align with the crown chakra.

Its color is violet and it is located at the top of the head. Associated with the cerebral cortex, central nervous system and the pituitary gland, the crown chakra is concerned with information, understanding, acceptance and bliss. It is said to be your own place of connection to God, the chakra of Divine purpose and personal destiny.

I believe in love, compassion, unity and equality, which are the core elements of my music. That's why I call it "Yoga Pop!"

I want to share as much love as I possibly can and connect with peoples hearts to remind them of their true Devine blue print.

There is unique light within all of us and I hope to inspire people to embrace who they are, to let their gift pour into this world and let their truth shine, so that we can collectively transform the world for the better. It’s time to awaken to your own power, stand in the light and let your true colors shine through.

The Seven Chakras

My love for music has led me to continuously explore and learn as much as possible about the power of sound. I've studied and am certified in Musical Theatre (voice, acting, dance) and different Healing Arts modalities (Sound Healing, Reiki, Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork and Mediation). Currently I am training to become a Somatic Movement Therapist. At a certain point in my journey, I was asked to make an intention regarding my musical offering. I realized that I wanted to help building a bridge between spirituality and pop music. I then searched to understand what makes pop music healing and how to utilize Sound Healing tools to create conscious/restorative pop music 'Yoga Pop'. I have also collaborated with other commercial pop songwriters and some of my songs can be heard on Netflix (Love is Blind, Temptations Island) and on Amazon Prime.

Within my music and through classic Pop songwriting, Sound Healing techniques and frequencies (vibrations) are being used that assist in healing and special instruments and mixing at various HZ to maximize the different tones that each of the instruments provide - to help tuning in with each of the seven chakras.

Chakras are are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through and each chakra is associated with a certain part of the body and a certain organ which it provides with the energy it needs to function. Because they connect to our well being, psychological, emotional and spiritual, it’s important to maintain balance. All meditation and yoga systems seek to balance out the energy of the chakras.

In addition to my interest to bring healing music to the main stream, I have collaborated and written songs for tv music synchronization. Some of my songs can be heard on Netfix and Amazon prime (Love is Blind, Hollywood Houselift, Temptation Island etc.)
